SLOWHAND, Clapton "Blackie" Clone

SLOWHAND, Clapton "Blackie" Clone

$0.00

This Eric Clapton “Blackie” clone was a long, intense labor of love! Through MANY hours of scrutinizing dozens of pictures and videos of the original guitar from the Christie’s auction, live performances and a cool disassembly video from the Fender Custom Shop, I believe I nailed it! From the exact aging patterns on the body, neck, tuners, saddles… even the cigarette burns on the headstock! I fabricated the custom copper shielding on Clapton’s guitar and used period-correct wiring along with pickups wound personally by Lindy Fralin himself to match all of the specs of Eric’s early 1970s Fender gray bobbin pickups. Even the vintage phone book capacitor is there…although it is constructed to measure .033uf for better tonal range! The neck is a one-piece maple neck with a 1957 soft “V” back, and the only thing that distinguishes it from the original is that I went with my standard Glory Guitars 10” radius instead of the vintage 7.25” for better feel and super clean bends up high. And yes, 20036 is the serial number(1957) on the real Blackie. Do your own research and check out the Fender Custom Shop video of the disassembly and examination of the REAL “Blackie”. This Custom Creation is a one of one. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. 2006 Fender Master-built Blackie Tribute clones are now selling for between 30 and 40 thousand dollars!
